Job Description:
The primary responsibility of the Delivery Specialist is to drive and oversee the operation of store vehicles for the delivery of products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. Additionally, this role entails handling payments for deliveries made on a cash-on-delivery basis and picking up items that customers want to return.
Encouragement is given to candidates who are bilingual to submit their applications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
? Transport parts and products to customers through the operation of company-provided vehicles with a focus on safety and efficiency.
? Ability to use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections, etc.
? Responsible for the cleanliness, upkeep, and completion of daily vehicle checks prior to operation.
? Responsible for safeguarding delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and currency collected securely during all duties.
? Collect customer returns like new products, warranty claims, cores, etc., and fill out the driver's return form.
? Inform store management of any customer issues or exceptional needs that arise.
? Immediately communicate any vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage to the store manager.
? At the end of business hours, ensure the vehicle is safely locked and the fuel tank is filled.
? Observe the rules in place for timekeeping as outlined by the company.
? Additional tasks could encompass handling customer inquiries, maintaining cleanliness, restocking and organizing products, arranging merchandise presentations, running errands, overseeing returned goods, processing incoming stock, and other related assignments.
? Available to assist with customer needs, cashier responsibilities, and merchandising duties as dictated by business demands, such as managing phone communications, sales, and service needs
? Additional duties may be expected as necessary.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
Required:
? Ability to rapidly connect alphanumeric orders.
? Solid interpersonal communication skills.
? Capacity to flexibly and adeptly deal with shifting delivery circumstances.
? Meeting the requirements of the 14/18-point driving record scale is essential.
? Having a state driver's license that meets legal standards and adhering to company driving criteria is a prerequisite.
Desired:
? Acquainted with various elements found in vehicles.
? Competence in operating diverse light store machinery.
? Desired fluency in various languages, particularly in Spanish.
