Fully Remote Special Education Teacher Needed in Connecticut

Location: Remote

Position Type: Hourly, Contracted

Pay: $33.25-35.50/hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Special Education Teacher with a master?s degree or higher for a remote position. This role involves providing direct and indirect educational support to high school students with special needs, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities: ? Deliver remote instruction and support tailored to the needs of high school students with special education requirements. ? Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) to address students' specific needs and goals. ? Provide instruction across various subjects, adapting teaching methods and materials to accommodate students' learning styles and needs. ? Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other school staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. ? Monitor and evaluate students' progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed. ? Utilize teletherapy platforms effectively to conduct lessons and engage with students. ? Maintain accurate records of student progress, IEP documentation, and other relevant data. ? Provide guidance and strategies to parents and teachers to support students' academic and personal development. ? Participate in professional development and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in special education.

Qualifications: ? Master?s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field. ? Valid Special Education certification or license. ? Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching high school students with special education needs is preferred. ? Strong knowledge of high school educational processes, IEP development, and best practices in special education. ? Excellent communication and organizational skills. ? Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional home office environment. ? Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
