Accountant / Bookkeeper - Hybrid - Remote | WFH

Key Responsibilities
? Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for multiple companies.
? Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
? Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
? Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
? Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.
? Assist in creating budgets and financial forecasts.
? Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
? Collaborate with external auditors during audits.
? Implement and uphold internal controls to protect company assets.
? Help with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
? Provide support for special financial analysis and ad-hoc projects.
Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required.
? At least 5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, ideally in the construction services industry.
? Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
? Experience with owner financial reporting is a plus.
? Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
? Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
? High attention to detail and accuracy.
? Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
