As a Facilities Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting day-to-day building operations and ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient work environment for all USPS personnel. Role and Responsibilities: As a Facilities Associate, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and facility support tasks that ensure optimal operation of USPS locations. You will work closely with maintenance teams and supervisors to support building functionality and staff needs. • Inspect, maintain, and repair basic building systems and equipment • Assist in custodial duties including cleaning, waste removal, and restocking supplies • Monitor HVAC, lighting, and plumbing systems for proper function • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized facility maintenance work • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and promptly report hazards • Support relocation and rearrangement of office furniture and equipment • Assist with setup for USPS meetings and facility events Required Skills and Experience: • Proficiency with basic hand tools and maintenance procedures • Familiarity with janitorial and custodial best practices • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established safety protocols • Ability to lift, move, and handle equipment or materials as needed • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively Preferred Qualifications: • Previous experience in facilities, building operations, or maintenance support • Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems • Experience working in a government or logistics-related environment About USPS: The United States Postal Service is a long-standing and respected institution dedicated to connecting the nation through its extensive mail and package delivery network.
