Software Engineer I - Direct Issuance (New Grad)

As a Software Engineer I on the Direct Issuance team, you will contribute to the development of systems that power millions of ticket transactions, leveraging AI-driven tooling and automation in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Use AI-assisted development tools (including Claude and other GenAI technologies) to support debugging, learning, documentation, and developer productivity Implement features, enhancements, and bug fixes in backend services that support partner inventory ingestion, synchronization, and marketplace publishing Learn and apply distributed systems concepts, including event-driven architectures, APIs, and data processing pipelines Participate in code reviews, design discussions, pairing sessions, and team collaboration Contribute to improving partner-facing APIs, error handling, and internal tooling Learn how to diagnose production issues using logging, monitoring, and observability tools Skills Recent graduate or software engineer with up to ~2 years of experience (including internships, co-ops, or substantial academic projects) Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms Familiarity with at least one backend programming language like Java, Python, or Golang Basic experience building or consuming APIs and experience working with LLM frameworks and AI Platforms such as Anthropic or ChatGPT either in school or on side projects Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience Benefits 401k Premium Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance options Paid time off Paid parental leave Company Overview StubHub is a ticket marketplace where users buy and sell tickets for sports, concerts, theater, and live events.
