About the Role: Senior Staff Software Engineer As a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Workwarp, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership on high-impact projects, influencing and coaching a distributed team of engineers, and facilitating alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines. You will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, and design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions. Your expertise in machine learning algorithms and tools, artificial intelligence, deep learning, and natural language processing will be essential in driving our company's success. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet the company's needs and goals. Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers, providing guidance and support to help them grow and develop their skills. Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged. Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions, using your expertise in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and Google Cloud technology. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and sales, to ensure that software solutions meet business needs and are aligned with company goals. Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in software development, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. The following qualifications and requirements are essential: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 8 years of experience in software development, with a focus on data structures, algorithms, and software design. 7 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools, such as TensorFlow, and artificial intelligence, deep learning, or natural language processing. 5 years of experience with design and architecture, and testing and launching software products. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role, leading project teams and setting technical direction. 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization, involving cross-functional and/or cross-business projects. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills and competencies, including: Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages, such as Java, Python, or C++. Experience with machine learning algorithms and tools, such as TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or PyTorch. Knowledge of artificial intelligence, deep learning, and natural language processing. Familiarity with Google Cloud technology, including Google Cloud Platform, Google Cloud Storage, and Google Cloud Dataflow. Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and coach a distributed team of engineers. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex technical problems and develop creative solutions.
