About the Role As a Senior Instructional Designer within our client's IT Learning & Development team, you'll play a pivotal role in designing and developing cutting-edge learning experiences that cater to diverse business needs. Collaborating closely with business leaders, subject matter experts, and stakeholders, you'll leverage your expertise in instructional design to craft innovative learning solutions that maximize learner engagement, effectiveness, and business impact. Key Responsibilities • Partner with Program Owners & Business Leaders to select the most effective learning modalities and design technical and professional learning solutions that drive capability development and business outcomes. • Develop Complex Learning Experiences (e.g., instructor-led training sessions, eLearning, performance support, video) to address capability gaps and meet business requirements. • Provide Consultation to learning teams on best practices for creating learning experiences and leveraging common standards & templates. • Create Original Content using instructional design techniques and authoring tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar tools. • Mentor Junior Designers in content design and development, sharing your expertise in adult learning best practices. Essential Qualifications To excel in this role, you'll need: • Instructional Design Experience: A strong background in creating training materials, designing curricula, and implementing learning strategies. • Authoring Tools Proficiency: Advanced skills in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar tools. • Content Creation: Ability to craft engaging and interactive training materials, including written guides, multimedia content, and hands-on exercises. • Needs Analysis: Experience in conducting needs assessments to identify training requirements and tailor content to meet those needs. • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience: A degree in a related field or a combination of education and progressively responsible work experience. Preferred Qualifications To stand out, you'll ideally have: • INFOR Knowledge: Experience working with INFOR systems or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, including familiarity with INFOR's modules, functionalities, and user interface. • HR, Financials, or Supply Chain Experience: Experience in one or more of these areas, with a deep understanding of the associated business processes. • Learning Management Systems (LMS) Experience: Familiarity with LMS platforms, particularly those integrated with INFOR or capable of hosting INFOR training content. • Advanced Proficiency in Graphic Design, Animation, and Audio Recording Tools: Skills in tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Audacity, Audition, etc. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need: • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills to effectively convey complex concepts and instructions. • Collaboration and Interpersonal Skills to work seamlessly with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and team members. • Problem-Solving and Adaptability to troubleshoot issues related to training content and adapt materials based on feedback. • Project Management Skills to manage multiple projects, adhere to timelines, and handle various aspects of the instructional design process. • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills, particularly in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
