Public Relations - Contractor or Freelancer
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented freelance or contract-only Public Relations Specialist to join our team on a project basis. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in servicing specific clients through high-value media placements, including but not limited to market coverage, affiliate commerce- driven coverage, founder-profiles, brand story coverage, etc.. This position involves crafting compelling narratives, developing and maintaining media relationships, and continuously generating new angles to secure placements. Responsibilities • Develop and implement public relations strategies to enhance client's visibility and reputation. • Write and distribute pitches, media advisories, and other communications materials. • Manage media relations by building and maintaining relationships with journalists and media outlets. Skills • Minimum of 5 years experience successfully pitching fashion media (contemporary & ready-to-wear). • Experience working with brands across the child, baby and parenting spaces. • Knowledge of Muckrack media database. • Previous experience working with commerce, shopping or affiliate-driven media.
