What You Will Do: The Pratt & Whitney Columbus Forge Blades (CFB) Module Center Manufacturing Engineering Organization is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support CFB as Process Manufacturing Engineer for robotic automation processes. • Responsible for all aspects of automation processes; standing up new automation processes from the ground up including fixturing, process tryout, work instruction, standard work, and gaining engineering source approval • Develop and implement plans that are in line with the business strategy to further our world class technology portfolio. • Provide operational engineering support to develop technologies and processes which support the growth curve and cost reduction targets. • Leverage manufacturing innovations to improve cost, delivery, and quality of aerospace blade forgings • Own relentless RCCA for correcting non-conformances resulting from automated processes; maintain work instructions applicable to automation. • Look for areas to optimize, automate and trim waste; support operational excellence using statistical analysis for process control and certification • Develop blade process using statistical methods that meet or exceed the business objective for process control. • Assist with problem solving during manufacturing related investigation; provide focused & effective leadership in eliminating EH&S/Ergonomics/Human Factors risks and addressing quality issues. Qualifications You Must Have: • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field and 2 or more years experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or related industrial environment or a Masters degree and 1 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing operations, quality or related industrial environment • Understanding of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma and LEAN or Six Sigma Green Belt certification • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines. The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
