Policy Development Manager, YouTube Trust and Safety
About the position
Fast-paced, dynamic, and proactive, YouTube's Trust & Safety team is dedicated to making YouTube a safe place for users, viewers, and content creators around the world to belong, create, and express themselves. Whether understanding and solving their online content concerns, navigating within global legal frameworks, or writing and enforcing worldwide policy, the Trust & Safety team is on the frontlines of enhancing the YouTube experience, building internet safety, and protecting free speech in our ever-evolving digital world. As the Trust and Safety Policy Development Manager, you will manage a team of skilled Policy Leads working on diverse content moderation issues. You will act as a player/coach on the team, both leading the team as well as separate policy initiatives. In this role, you will sometimes review graphic, controversial, or offensive video content. Responsibilities
? Manage a team of Policy Leads working on multiple controversial content areas, helping to ensure the team sets clear priorities, manages its time effectively, and develops clear and compelling policy proposals for executive audiences.

? Be an expert in all of the policy areas under the supervision to support the team members, and guide efficient and effective policy development efforts.

? Build partnerships with cross-functional groups including public policy, PR, legal, and product.
Requirements
? Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
,
? 7 years of experience in a policy, legal, Trust and Safety, or technology environment.
,
? 1 year of experience in people management, leading a team.
