General Academic Tutor (High School-Humanities Focus with STEM homework)

Wholeway Trains Education is seeking a General Academic Tutor to support high school students (Grades 9–10) with daily coursework, homework completion, and academic organization across subjects. This role is not focused on advanced subject teaching. Instead, we are looking for a tutor who can help students stay on track academically by ensuring assignments are fully understood, completed carefully, and aligned with school expectations—particularly in humanities subjects, while also supporting math and science homework at the school level. Key Responsibilities • Review daily homework and coursework for high school students Support humanities subjects, including: • English / ELA • History / Social Studies • AP World History (homework and writing support, not exam specializatio) Focus on: • Reading comprehension • Writing structure and clarity • Following rubrics and assignment instructions • Assist with math and science homework (e.g., Pre-Calculus, Biology) at the school level: • Help students understand questions • Check work for accuracy and completeness • Identify gaps and coordinate with subject-specific tutors when needed • Ensure students are attentive, organized, and completing work thoroughly • Support time management, planning, and academic responsibility • Communicate clearly with parents and our academic team regarding progress Qualifications Required: • Strong academic background with comfort supporting both humanities and STEM homework • Experience working with high school students (Grades 9–12) • Ability to review and explain assignments clearly and patiently • Strong communication skills and attention to detail • Reliable, organized, and student-centered Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job
