Freelance Design Engineer & Drafter
Pacteam are a Design firm producing cabinets and displays for the Retail Watch and Eyewear Industries throughout North America. Currently we are searching for a Freelance Design Engineer & Drafter to support our US office in Bergen County NJ. Our candidate needs to be organized and detail oriented. This position offers a tremendous room for growth. Primary responsibilities include: - Turn a Millwork concept into a production ready item. - Identifying design problems and provide construction solutions - Create Technical Drawings for manufacturing from Solidworks or AutoCAD files. - Create detailed production, bill of materials & parts drawings of fixtures for local millwork shops - have knowledge on fabrication processes and materials - site visits and field measurements may be needed We request: -knowledge of layout, shop drawings and construction of customized commercial casework and millwork. - Proficiency, preferably in Inventor, then AutoCAD & SolidWorks, - The ability to work independently as well as with our team. - Critical thinking and problem solving capabilities along with multi-tasking ability. Our ideal candidate: - Has experience with millwork, consumer products, POS & Shop-in-Shops within retail stores - Has knowledge of materials (wood, plastics, fabric, metals, etc.) and fabrication processes for temporary and permanent store fixture installs. - Can streamline processes from shop drawings to fabrication. - related experience with background in construction as millwork design engineer or drafter Submission Details -Please put Freelance Design Engineer & Drafter in the title of your email -No large attachments over 30Mb -Attach some relevant samples from your portfolio or link to your online portfolio if available. -Submit your freelance rates requests via email.
