Position at a Glance: Location: Remote (continental U.S. only) Position: Expert VistA DevOps Engineer Company: VetsEZ Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package Start Date: Immediate openings available Key Responsibilities: As an Expert VistA DevOps Engineer at VetsEZ, you'll be responsible for: Serving on the foundational team that engages with Health Service Mesh (HSM) consumers, ensuring optimal data access and seamless integration with VistA systems. Acting as a Service Consultant, providing strategic feedback and guidance on services that expose VistA data to ensure compliance with healthcare data standards and best practices. Collaborating with development teams to optimize the delivery of services to HSM consumers, leveraging expertise in DevSecOps, CI/CD, and Microservices. Reviewing and providing insights on proposed architectures to ensure alignment with VA infrastructure, IAM, and Cerner integrations. Sharing in-depth knowledge of VA infrastructure, VistA, and best practices with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence. Supporting service teams in transitioning to a Cloud Native approach, leveraging expertise in containerization, API development, and Cloud Native environments. Essential Qualifications: To succeed as an Expert VistA DevOps Engineer at VetsEZ, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in DevSecOps, CI/CD, Microservices, and Containerization, with a strong focus on VistA and healthcare technology. Strong proficiency in Java, API development (RESTful, web services), and Cloud Native environments, including expertise in FHIR and HL7 for interoperability and compliance. In-depth knowledge of VistA, VA infrastructure, IAM, VA Profile, and integrations with Cerner, as well as hands-on experience with monitoring, security, database management, and tools like AKRON, RPS, and KAFKA. Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to solve complex issues, with excellent communication skills and experience in documentation and presentations. Preferred Qualifications: We'd love to see: Experience with SAFe/Agile Software Development practices and a strong understanding of DevOps principles.
