Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Valet Attendant to join our team at Disney's Contemporary Resort. As a Valet Attendant, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to our guests, ensuring their vehicles are parked and retrieved in a prompt and safe manner. Key Responsibilities As a Valet Attendant, you'll be responsible for: Maintaining a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients. Using salutation of the day and welcoming guests to the location, while practicing proper Towne Park phone etiquette. Parking and retrieving vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously, and assisting guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed. Assisting guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries, and providing information about outlets, meeting rooms, and/or amenities of the facility. Explaining parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival, and consistently completing and maintaining all ticket information, including key tags, guest folios, and claim checks. Calculating and collecting revenue for vehicles when needed, and consistently completing location on all key tags after parking vehicles. Essential Qualifications To be successful as a Valet Attendant, you'll need: A high school diploma or general education degree (GED). A valid driver's license and clean driving record. Must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass a criminal background and drug screen. One (1) month related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications While not required, we prefer candidates with: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. Ability to read and write standard English language, and to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Ability to operate a manual transmission and perform parallel parking. Skills and Competencies To succeed as a Valet Attendant, you'll need: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
