Our team is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences, and we're committed to helping our users achieve their goals through high-quality documentation, content, and support. **Job Responsibilities** As an Experienced Technical Writer on our iX team, you'll be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation, content, and user interface text that supports our customers' success. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Writing technical documentation for builders and cloud architects constructing solutions for their own personal Google Cloud * Producing and curating content that supports customers' needs and goals * Editing, clarifying, and proofreading files written by others, and training non-writers on techniques to enhance their writing skills * Collaborating with a global team of Engineers, Product teams, content strategists, and other technical writers to ensure consistency, quality, and customer satisfaction **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you'll need: * A Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience * A minimum of 1 year of experience in technical writing, with a proven track record of creating high-quality documentation and content * Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, concise manner * Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders * Experience with HTML, Markdown, or Unix environments is a plus **Preferred Qualifications** If you have: * A Master's degree in Writing, Engineering, or a related field * 2+ years of experience in technical writing, with a strong portfolio of work * Experience working with cloud computing platforms, such as Google Cloud * Strong knowledge of content management systems, such as Confluence or SharePoint * Experience with user interface design and development, such as HTML, CSS, or JavaScript **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess: * Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to create high-quality documentation and content * Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues * Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git * Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as Google Cloud * Experience with content management systems, such as Confluence or SharePoint **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their skills and careers.
