About the Role: Key Responsibilities As a Homeroom Teacher at E.H. Franzen Intermediate School, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our students. Your responsibilities will include: Designing and implementing engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of 5th-grade and kindergarten students, ensuring a seamless transition between the two age groups. Creating a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation, creativity, and critical thinking. Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and adapting teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of your students. Communicating effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to student development. Participating in parent-teacher conferences, staff meetings, and other school events to foster strong community ties. Utilizing technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience. Contributing to the development of curriculum and educational programs that align with district and state standards. Essential Qualifications and Skills To excel in this role, you should possess: A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. A Professional Educator License (PEL) with K-9 Elementary Education endorsement. Proven experience in teaching elementary school students, preferably in both 5th grade and kindergarten. Strong knowledge of curriculum design, instructional strategies, and classroom management techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work in a remote or flexible teaching environment, leveraging technology to facilitate learning.
