Experienced ACT/SAT Math and Science Prep Tutor for High School Students - Remote, Part-Time Opportunity

The Opportunity We're seeking an experienced and caring ACT/SAT Math and Science Prep Tutor to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. As a tutor with Huntington Learning Center, you'll have the opportunity to work one-on-one with high school students, helping them prepare for the ACT and SAT exams. Our flexible, part-time schedule allows you to choose your own hours, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and summers. Key Responsibilities Work with high school students in a 1:1 setting to prepare them for ACT/SAT exams Deliver high-quality instruction and support to help students achieve their academic goals Utilize your expertise in Math and Science to develop effective lesson plans and strategies Provide personalized feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their performance Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Math, Science, Education, or related discipline) Experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with a focus on ACT/SAT prep Strong knowledge of Math and Science concepts, as well as test-taking strategies and techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues A caring and patient approach to working with students, with a commitment to their academic success Preferred Qualifications Teaching certification or license Experience working with high school students or in a related educational setting Knowledge of Huntington Learning Center's instructional programs and methodologies Skills and Competencies To succeed as an ACT/SAT Math and Science Prep Tutor with Huntington Learning Center, you'll need to possess a range of skills and competencies, including: Strong subject matter expertise in Math and Science Excellent instructional and communication skills The ability to work effectively in a 1:1 setting, tailoring your instruction to meet the needs of each student A patient and supportive approach to working with students, with a focus on building their confidence and skills Proficiency in using technology to support instruction and communication Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Huntington Learning Center, we're committed to supporting the ongoing growth and development of our team members.
