Clinical Psychologist – Psychotherapy & Growth Roles

Remote Full-time
Remote with DC/NY/Palm Beach presence A different kind of practice—for clinicians who want more than survival If you’re a psychologist who still cares deeply about the work but feels disillusioned by the current mental health landscape—overloaded caseloads, shrinking autonomy, productivity pressure disguised as “support”—this may be worth your attention. SENS is a boutique psychotherapy and consulting practice built for clinicians who want to do serious clinical work, be well compensated, and still have theenergy to grow—as practitioners, thinkers, collaborators, and humans. We work primarily with high-achieving individuals and couples, including high-net-worth clients, founders, creatives, and professionals navigating complex relational, identity, and performance challenges. The work is nuanced and relational; our clients are thoughtful, engaged, and looking for depth—not scripts. We are also expanding into psych tech -- offering early-stage opportunities for clinicians interested in shaping tools, content, and platforms that extend care beyond the therapy hour. What makes this role different • Real flexibility. Set your schedule, adjust your workload as life changes, and avoid the constant pressure to “scale up.” • High compensation without insurance headaches, administrative overload, or productivity theater. • Long-term stability. This is not a churn-and-burn group practice. • Growth beyond the therapy room. Writing, research, app development, leadership, business development, and potential equity opportunities for those who want them. • A genuinely supportive culture. We value collegiality, humor, thoughtfulness, and mutual respect—not performative “team culture.” This is a place for clinicians who want to get off the treadmill without giving up ambition. Who thrives here. You might be a strong fit if you: • Enjoy working with high-achievers, complex individuals, and couples • Have experience with trauma and relational work • Are trained in (or interested in training in) couples therapy, sex therapy, or adjacent specialties • Affirm non-traditional relationships, including polyamory • Are intellectually curious—drawn to research, theory, and the evolving science of the brain • Care about aesthetics, environment, and quality—not as decoration, but as part of how humans heal • Want autonomy and a team—independence without isolation • Are open to startup environments and emerging domains in mental health • Want a long-term professional home where growth is encouraged but not forced This role is likely not a fit if you: • Are planning to start your own private practice • Already operate an independent practice • Are looking for minimal clinical responsibility or early-career training • Prefer highly structured, manualized, or volume-driven settings Because we invest deeply in our clinicians, we are looking for people interested in building something enduring rather than passing through. Role details Responsibilities • Provide psychotherapy (primarily online; fully remote possible) • Serve some evening availability (requirements decrease with tenure) • For full-time clinicians: contribute to writing, content, or app development during non-clinical time Requirements • Licensed or license-eligible psychologist (preferred) • Master’s or doctoral degree in a mental health field • Experience with adult individual psychotherapy • Licensable in DC/Virginia and registerable with PsyPact • U.S. work authorization Workload • Full-time or part-time (10-hour minimum) • Highly flexible scheduling Benefits • Competitive compensation • Health, dental, and vision insurance • 401(k) with matching • Paid time off • Administrative, billing, and compliance support • Remote work flexibility If you’re looking for meaningful work, strong support, financial stability, and room to grow into something larger—without burning yourself out to get there—we’d love to hear from you.
