ASP.NET Developer Needed (SQL Server, jQuery, NHibernate) — Strong Bug Fixing Skills - Contract to Hire
Job Description I’m looking for a highly skilled ASP.NET developer who has deep experience with SQL Server, jQuery, and NHibernate. Much of the work involves debugging, resolving production issues, and improving existing functionality, so you must be comfortable diving into a complex, established codebase. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and can quickly identify root causes of bugs. Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs in an existing ASP.NET application Work with NHibernate ORM (mappings, queries, session management, performance tuning) Maintain and improve backend logic using C# Update and optimize SQL Server queries, indexes, stored procedures Fix front-end issues involving jQuery, AJAX, UI inconsistencies Add new features or enhancements when required Ensure stable, maintainable, and secure application behavior Communicate clearly and provide accurate time estimates Required Skills Strong experience with ASP.NET (C#) — WebForms or MVC Deep knowledge of SQL Server (queries, indexing, optimization) Proficiency with jQuery, JavaScript, AJAX Hands-on experience with NHibernate Excellent debugging and problem-solving abilities Ability to navigate and improve legacy codebases Familiar with HTML/CSS for minor UI fixes Nice to Have Experience with IIS deployments Background in Web API / REST integrations Knowledge of Bootstrap or UI frameworks Familiarity with performance profiling tools Project Type Ongoing work focused on bug fixes, improvements, and occasional new features What you should include: A short summary of your ASP.NET + NHibernate experience Examples of past debugging or legacy-system work Any related portfolio or GitHub links Apply tot his job
